Registration: This filly is by the approved Premium ATA Trakehner stallion Tanzeln and has been registered with the American Trakehner Association as a half Trakehner.  As an ATA registered horse she is eligible for ATA Awards and futurities.  In October 2013 Tanzanite was inspected an approved by the Knabstrupperforeningen for Danmark (KNN) for producing registerable Knabstrupper foals when bred to approved Knabstrupper stallions such as our RPSI and KNN approved Knabstrupper stallion Ambrosius af Asgard "Atlantis". Her Knabstrupper fillies would be eligible for marebook inspection.

Description:  Tanzanite was foaled on 5/30/2009.  She is feminine and refined with a dishy face and medium bone.  She looks more like a Polish bred Arabian with spots thrown on her.  We expect to mature in the range of 15.3-16.0hh based on current growth and string test.  Her sire comes from a slow-to-mature line of Trakehners.

Tanzanite has a blanket with spots (and spots on her belly), mottling, striped hooves and sclera.  Tanzanite is a quiet, easy going filly that is friendly but respectful of your space.  She does enjoy running, playing and showing off in the pasture.  She moves much like an Arabian, complete with tail in the air, and will likely be a nice dressage prospect.  Her mature size should be perfect for an average sized female rider.

Training:  Tanzanite has started training November 2013. She learns quickly and enjoys the attention. Stay tuned for reports on her progress.

Tanzanite has begun her ground training and is OFFERED FOR SALE..  Please inquire about her current price and tell us what you are looking for in your next horse

If you like Tanzanite but want something a little smaller you might want to check out our 2011 flashy leopard Appaloosa x  Anglo-Trakehner colt foaled March 24, 2011.  He is a half sibling to our junior stallion Hollywood Hot Spot.  The dam is Anglo-Trakehner mare Devotion.  The sire is our homozygous (few spot leopard) Appaloosa stallion, Outlaws Bold Revenge.
