Description:   This young man is a soft eyed, loving and quiet chestnut gelding.  He gets along well in the herd and is always in your pocket, especially when you are trying to get something done.  If he sees you have been working with another horse or youngster in hand, after you have finished he will try to push his own face into the empty halter.  "Take me next."  He enjoys training and will permit you to hang all over him without budging an inch.

Phoenix would be a wonderful dressage horse with the beautiful movement he inherited from both his sire, who competed in dressage, and his Anglo-Trakehner dam who has dressage and eventing bloodlines.  He is a willing partner as he just loves to learn and to be with people.  Phoenix is good sized horse with good bone but not heavy.  He has not been jumped.  Phoenix has lifetime recordings with the USEF and the USDF.

Show Results:  Phoenix was shown in-hand March 29, 2008 in the USDF Dressage Across the Lake show (Folsolm, LA) in 2006 Colts & Gelding class.  For his first time of the farm and all the new things we threw at him he did quite well.  We plan to show Phoenix under saddle as time permits until he is sold.

Training:

2012 - Phoenix was slowly started under saddle using natural horsemanship techniques.

2013 - Phoenix started back to work late Spring, working lightly under saddle.

2014 - Phoenix is working under saddle regularly, WTC and beginning his lateral work.

Phoenix has clean x-rays (2012, prior to beginning his training) and is in full-time dressage training and is going Walk/Trot/Canter.  He is OFFERED FOR SALE.  Price will increase as his under saddle training progresses.  Please inquire for current price.
